I am Link Buckles, owner of Countertops by Design. I started the business in 2003. During the past 15 years the business has seen continual growth requiring 3 moves. The location purchased in 2015 in Westby, Wisconsin, now provides our team with the space needed to expand our operation. We pride ourselves on being big enough to meet your needs, while small enough to know you.
The Westby area is an incredible place to come to shop for your cabinets. We are surrounded by multiple cabinet builders who do beautiful high quality work at an affordable price. We work closely with them to ensure timely installs.
Our Process from Start to Finish
Stop in or email us your project dimensions. We will get you an estimate of cost within a day. If doing the measurements is a concern, we will come to your home and assist with it.
A visit to our showroom is the perfect starting point to help you in selecting your material type, color and finish. We will explain the many options for backsplashes and edging to create a finished product exactly as you want. If our showroom hours do not work for you, we are happy to set up an additional time. We also do free in-home consultation, bringing samples to help guide you with decisions. Our goal is to make this important selection part of the process enjoyable and relaxing for you.
Once material has been selected and you have chosen us to do your work, a 50% deposit is required to get material ordered or tagged for you to avoid any delays in your project.
Next step is getting templating completed. Once your project is ready, we will come to your home or business for the official measurement. For this to occur, all cabinets need to be installed and leveled. Sink decisions made, ordered and available if not purchased from us. Apron/farmer sinks need to be installed prior to templating by your carpenter. Cooktop specs should also be available at this time.
When we begin fabrication of your material, we need sinks and cooktop specs to be at our shop so its ideal to be able to send them back with the templater.
Once we begin the fabrication, with granite selections, many of our customers enjoy collaborating with the fabricator on just how best to lay out of the granite to get maximum design satisfaction.
After your material is fabricated, our finishing technicians then apply a 15 year Dry-Treat sealer to all granite. We are then ready for installation.
Our goal is to install no longer than 2 weeks after we do the template.
